*This challenge replaces the Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC).
There is only one round for this challenge.
Five Division Groups
Divisions are based on skill not age. There are five divisions:

Novice
-
Explorer
-
Navigator
-
Pathfinder
-
Trialblazer
Novice and Explorer tasks require Turtle Blockly solutions.
The other divisions use text-based programming languages including Python, C#, Java and VB. A full list of supported languages can be found here.
The groups are skills-based, not age-based. This approach enables students who are just starting their coding journey to participate at a level suited to their current abilities.
The Trailblazer challenge will push the most talented programmers to their limits!
Scoring System:

Section A (8 questions): 4 marks each

Section B (2 questions): 8 marks each
Total: 48 marks
Award Criteria:
Best in School: Top score in School
Gold Award: students that have scored in the top 10% nationally.
Distinction: Top 25%
Merit: Top 50%
Participation: Remaining 50%
All students will be awarded e-certificates.
Fees for entering the UK Coding Challenge are $60 per student.

These challenges will require students to produce solutions using the Turtle Blockly programming language including Turtle blocks.

These challenges will require students to produce solutions using a text based programming language. Supported languages include Python, VB, Java and C#

Certificates and Results
Every participating student will receive an e-certificate for the following categories:
Best in School: Top score in School
Gold Award: students that have scored in the top 10% nationally.
Distinction: Top 25%
Merit: Top 50%
Participation: Remaining 50%
● Provisional results will be available two weeks after the challenge closes.
● Final results will be available a week after the provisional results.
